About P.S.Y.C.H.
Psychiatric Solutions for Young Adults & Children is more than medication management. It is understanding you and your child as individuals within the context of life; educating about diagnoses and treatment options creating a plan as a team.

As a solo provider I am able to offer each client and family as much time as they need. I offer an in person or virtual option for each visit. After the intake appointment, you are able to schedule your own follow up appointment. I have over 20 years of experience taking care of children and young adults with a broad array of emotional health challenges.
My family and I have lived in Maynard for over 20 years and I am pleased to be able to offer support and medication management to our town and surrounding communities.

Client Testimonials
"I can wholeheartedly say Mrs. Duane changed my life for the better. I struggled with anxiety and depression. She helped me understand the root of why I felt the feelings I had and gave me the tools I needed to heal and grow. I have not needed medication for over a year now and have become happier than I could have imagined possible because of her guidance and patience."
"deserves to be praised for the good she does for others. I went from shaking and not being able to look people in the eye to having confidence with strangers. I can't thank you enough."

My Journey
I started my career in Charlottesville, Virginia at the University of Virginia. After passing my Registered Nurse Licensing exam I worked on several pediatric units in Boston and Philadelphia. I reached a place where I could not help people in the manner I desired and wanted to have more autonomy and independence. I went to graduate school at Northeastern University and became a certified Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner. During my ten years of caring for many children, teens and young adults, it became clear that some of my patients were in emotional distress. There was nowhere to refer them, simply not enough providers. I returned to graduate school a second time at Northeastern University and became certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner . Ten years later, the constraints of psychiatric practice within a community health center put limits on my time and affected the support I could offer clients. I opened my own private practice.
